The spectacular natural beauty that characterizes Trillium's sophisticated golf course reminds us of why we play "The Old Game" in the first place. By combining natural elements with careful design and a traditional approach to the game of golf, Trillium Links is the Hallmark of the Trillium amenities. When combined with the driving range and practice facility, it's easy to see that Trillium Links offers a comprehensive range of golfing amenities unlike any other in the mountains of North Carolina. Together, this top-rated course and inviting Clubhouse are an integral part of the Trillium lifestyle and the heart of a warm, welcoming community.
Inspired by the panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, course designer and PGA Senior Tour Player Morris Hatalsky created an award-winning 18-hole championship course that meanders through mountain laurels and indigenous hardwoods, as the dramatic elevation changes bring fresh challenges at every hole.
Trillium Links is, unquestionably, one of the finest championship golf courses in western North Carolina. Regardless of your handicap, you'll find golf at Trillium Links challenging and enjoyable, with 4 sets of tees, bent grass tees, greens and fairways, magnificent vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, all combined with an occasional greeting from the local wildlife.
A magical garden golf course lends its own whimsical brand of fun, providing a place where every member of the family can enjoy chipping and putting without worrying about tee times and scorecards.
This 9-hole course fills the neighborhood with a profusion of perennial flowers and garden sculptures. Every hole offers its own unique beauty and is carefully landscaped, bringing together the best of nature's beauty.
Located in Trillium's woodsy Arbor’s enclave, the meditative setting of Garden Golf also makes it a great place for solitude and reflection while communing with nature. Small waterfalls provide the alluring trickle of water, while ponds, rock gardens and stone steps enhance the lush landscape.
The Golf Shop and new roomy locker facilities at Trillium Links provide the conveniences and luxuries that make winding down from a great game of golf as enjoyable as the game itself.
A friendly place to visit and the heart of Trillium Links, the Golf Shop features a full range of equipment and merchandise. The knowledgeable and friendly golf staff is always available to assist members with private lessons and clinics or to plan a special tournament. The Member/Guest three-day tournament played in early August is one of the golfing highlights of the season.
Regular players at Trillium Links understand perfectly why Golf Digest magazine designated Trillium Links a 4 1/2 star course. It also comes as no surprise to people who know the reputation of course designer, Morris Hatalsky.
Morris Hatalsky started playing golf at age 10 after his brother gave him a set of clubs. At 17, he won the Mexico National Junior Championship and in 1969 was the San Diego High School Golfer of the Year.
Hatalsky joined the PGA Tour in 1976 and has since played over 489 tournaments. Along with his four wins he has finished in the top-ten 32 times and earned the distinction of "Putter of the Decade."
Hatalsky retired from a successful 20-year career in the PGA Tour in 1996 and put his talents and artistry to work designing and overseeing the construction of Trillium's 18-hole championship course.
Upon turning 50 years old, Morris returned to the Champions Tour where he was named "Rookie of the Year" in 2002 and once again made his mark on the golfing world by winning several tour events.
